Aviation Wx for Stream Deck
Real-world aviation METARs on your Stream Deck. Built for home cockpit rigs, flight sims, and pilots. Pin ICAOs to keys, cycle them on the dial. Flight category at a glance, with wind, vis, ceiling, and your pick of bottom field always within reach.
// METAR Station — Key action
WORKS ON ANY STREAM DECK MODEL
Pin one ICAO to a key for a dedicated station tile, or pin up to ten and cycle through them with each press. Long-press opens the detail page — defaults to our purpose-built METAR Lookup with TAF, runway analysis, density altitude, and an airspace overlay map. Switch to metar-taf.com, point at any custom URL, or disable entirely.

// METAR Cycler — Encoder action
REQUIRES STREAM DECK +
Up to ten ICAOs per encoder slot. Rotate the dial to scroll, with the touchscreen rendering the selected station's full METAR in the top half and a chip strip of adjacent stations below. Press the dial to flip into a detail view — long METARs auto-scroll line-by-line so you can read them at the dial.

The default palette mirrors the colors on FAA charts. A per-action toggle swaps in a color-blind safe alternative, anchored on the Wong/Okabe-Ito palette and darkened to clear WCAG AA against white text. Try both:

METAR Deck v1.3 is live on the Elgato Marketplace. $1.99 one-time, with free updates within v1.x.
New in v1.3 — built for fire season: stations reporting smoke or haze now show a campfire icon with smoke drifting downwind. Automated sensors can't tell smoke from haze, so hazy AUTO reports get the campfire too — in fire season, that's usually what they are. A new category change cue paints an edge stripe in the color a station just left, fading toward the direction of change — one glance answers "getting better or worse?" Plus refresh on demand (key press or dial press) and visibility in meters for international users. (v1.2 added the METAR Lookup detail default, custom station labels, and the color-blind safe palette.)
